MISS DIG 811 Day Events

Celebrate 8/11 Day by cheering for Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford and defending 2018 NASCAR champion, as he races with the 811 logo on board at the 

Consumer’s Energy 400 at Michigan International Speedway today! The 811 logo will be visible on one of America’s biggest stages on the damage prevention industry’s hallmark day – reminding everyone in attendance or watching from home to always #Call811 before digging.


Tickets to the Consumers Energy 400 on 8/11 will be given away during the Hire It Done Radio show on Saturday, August 3rd between 7am and 9am. The show is aired on 97.1 The Ticket in Southeast Michigan. Subject Matter Experts are available throughout the show on their Facebook blog to answer questions and provide information.

 Race weekend runs from Friday, August 9th through Sunday, August 11th. MISS DIG 811 will be at the track all weekend long. Stop by our tent, pick up some swag and check out the 811 Outdoors boat.



MISS DIG 811 is partnering with USPBL and DTE to bring awareness to 811 day on August 

10, 2019 at Jimmy John's Baseball field. The Westside Woolly Mammoths will be taking on the Utica Unicorns. Game starts at 7:05pm.

  • MISS DIG 811 bobble heads will be given away for the the first 500 attendees at USPBL. 
  • MISS DIG 811 VR will have it's debut at the ball park. 
  • Play the wheel of fortune to win MISS DIG 811 treasures.

We are excited that MISS DIG 811 is partnering with DTE and the Michigan Humane Society for their DTE 8/11 Dog Day in the Park Event on Sunday, August 11 at DTE Circle Park in Detroit. The park is located on the corner of 1st St and Bagley St, within the DTE Energy Plaza, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Pets will be available for adoption.

MISS DIG 811 Safe Excavation Practices Certification Program

The MISS DIG 811 Safe Excavation Practices Certification Program offers excavators training and information on several safety and facility damage prevention topics at no cost. The MISS DIG 811 Certification satisfies the training portion of your company's Safety Management System which is one of the requirements of being Gold Shovel Standard Certified. It can also be a positive statement to your customers.

In addition to the online Safe Excavation Practices Certification course, Education Specialists present the certification course on the road with the Safe Excavation Practices Workshops at a location near you! The live workshops meet requirements for Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for Professional Engineers, Surveyors, Drinking Water, Wastewater, Residential Builders, Builders Prelicensure, Landscape Architect, Residential Maintenance & Alternation Contractor and Residential Maintenance & Alternation Contractor Prelicensure. (See the Schedule of Upcoming Events below) You can also request that an Education Specialist come to you and your employees at whatever location you would like.
